Volume is calculated as sets × reps × weight for each exercise.

What workout volume can tell you.
Volume is one simple way to compare the amount of weighted work between sessions. Ten reps with 50 kg equals 500 kg of volume; three identical sets equal 1,500 kg.
- Enter the sets, reps and external weight for each exercise.
- Keep the same unit across the entire workout.
- Compare similar exercises and sessions instead of treating volume as a universal score.
Volume is only one part of training
Range of motion, effort, technique, exercise selection and recovery also matter. Bodyweight and timed movements are counted in sets and reps here but contribute zero weighted volume unless you enter a load.
