Welcome to my Mobile Developer Diary! Today marks the beginning of a new journey in mobile app development, and I am excited to share my daily progress with you. Follow along as I document my experiences, challenges, and achievements. Let’s dive into what I accomplished on Day 1.
Starting a New Application with Flutter: Habit Tracker
Today, I embarked on creating a new application using Flutter, a powerful UI toolkit for building natively compiled applications for mobile, web, and desktop from a single codebase. The new app, named Habit Tracker, aims to help users build and maintain positive habits.
Key Features:
- Daily Habit Tracking: Users can easily add, track, and manage their daily habits.
- Progress Visualization: Graphs and charts to visualize progress over time.
- Reminders and Notifications: Customizable notifications to remind users of their habits.
- User-Friendly Interface: A clean and intuitive design for a seamless user experience.
Starting this project with Flutter ensures a smooth development process and a consistent look and feel across all platforms.
Updating the Goal Tracker Application
In addition to starting a new project, I also spent time updating my existing Goal Tracker application. This app helps users set and achieve their goals by breaking them down into manageable tasks. However, there were a few issues that needed to be addressed:
- Notification Problems: Notifications were not functioning correctly, especially in the dark theme mode.
- Color Issues: The app’s color scheme did not transition well between light and dark themes.
- Shadow Adjustments: There were inconsistencies in the shadows within the insertion section, which needed correction.
After troubleshooting and making the necessary adjustments, the app now functions smoothly with improved aesthetics and reliable notifications.
Exploring the Apple Marketing Tool
I also took some time to explore the newly launched Apple Marketing Tool. This tool allows developers to create visually appealing marketing images for their apps. With this tool, I can generate high-quality promotional materials that showcase my apps effectively in the App Store.
Features:
- Customizable Templates: Choose from a variety of templates to fit your app’s style.
- High-Resolution Images: Generate images that meet Apple’s standards for promotional content.
- Ease of Use: A user-friendly interface that simplifies the creation process.
This tool will be invaluable in creating eye-catching marketing materials for both the Habit Tracker and Goal Tracker apps.
UI Edits for Another Application
Finally, I made some significant UI edits for another application in my portfolio. These edits focused on enhancing the overall user experience by refining the design and improving the app’s functionality. Attention to detail in UI design ensures that users have an engaging and intuitive experience.
